Visiting Nan

Harriet and I went to visit Nanny Mavis earlier today. Harriet and Nan made some cakes while I popped round the corner to see a client. Had to be fully tested before general release!

My Wounded Soldier

Last day (well half day to be precise) and we were just heading into school and poor Lexi shut her finger in the car door!

She did a proper job too!  Straight up to the school Nurse and she suggested a trip to casualty!

Off we went after battling through the stourport – kidder traffic and met a lovely nurse who took great care care of her.

Had it X-rayed and everything, no broken bones and back in school before lunch!

Here she is looking a bit sorry for herself

Everyone say aahhhhhhhhh

Building an igloo!

These brilliant outdoor pursuits teachers managed to get the kids to build an igloo with all the snow we had and bloody brilliant it was too!

I couldn’t help myself and before long I was helping to make ice-blocks for them.

It looked great but unfortunately, in the morning a few too many lads got in there at once and pushed the sides out so it had to be knocked down!

Fun while it lasted anyway.

Photos in the Snow

It Finally stopped snowing today so i took my camera for this morning’s walk and grabbed a few photos of Max the dog. Bloody hard though as he moves that fast, most of them are out of focus!

Loves the Snow

Just about to bugger off again!

And it kept on coming!

Wowsers, did it ever snow!
As forecast, we had bucket loads and so we decided to commandeer Withies bank and turn it into a sledge run!
Bit sticky at forst but we soon smoothed it out and got faster!
Those verges were great as you either bounced off them or went into the ditch! either was a soft landing!

Back to trudging tomorrow so glad we made the most while we could!

Wow! Not seen it like this in years! Great fun until the fingers go numb! Don't think Max has ever seen this weird white stuff before either!

Walk in the Woods

One of the advantages of being self employed and working from home!

If you stayed up until 1am and all up to date then when the sun shines, time to head out!

Borrowed Ellen’s car and took Max to see where id predecessors used to romp when they were his age!

been years since I headed down here (mainly because the girls won’t walk that far!( Need to put that right!)

Took the camera with me (of course) and it was fabulous.  From a cold start it was bright and sunny.

Saw a bird of prey (answers on a postcard please), a deer and not much else as when he’s in town wildlife tends to go to ground!

Heres a few of the keepers:
